Psalm 27 and Michael Jordan
Thought for today from Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
A rhetorical question -- with the obvious conclusion
that we have nothing to be afraid about.
Like, (another analogy) Michael Jordon is on my basketball team...
who wants to try to beat my team? Am I afraid?
The LORD is my strength, am I afraid of anything in life?
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
A rhetorical question -- with the obvious conclusion
that we have nothing to be afraid about.
Like, (another analogy) Michael Jordon is on my basketball team...

The LORD is my strength, am I afraid of anything in life?

Psalm 26 and Psalm 1 - Key to Holy Life
I'm back from my mental vacation.
Looking at Psalm 26 this morning, especially vs. 4,5 -- it reminds me of Psalm 1:1
See the action language...just like psalm 1 -- describing walking, and not sitting.
I have walked in your truth...
I have not sat with idolators...
I will not sit with the wicked...
Here is a simple key to a holy life... walk away from evil situations.
Do not sit and have fellowship with the works of darkness.
